Led by Dolores, a huge local music fan, and Belfast Green Badge tourist guide, sign up for a two-hour plus guided walk around Belfast city centre to find out why Belfast truly is a UNESCO City of Music!
Enjoy a relaxed dander and hear about Belfast’s rich musical heritage and celebrate the diversity of talent we have. Starting out from the Ulster Hall, we will explore some of the venues that are important in our musical history. We will find out about some of the characters down the years who’ve shaped our music culture, and acknowledge some of the talented people taking it forward today. We will hear about the festivals our city is home to and end with a visit to Belfast’s own dedicated music hub, the Oh Yeah Centre to browse the Music Exhibition there and enjoy a special live performance by a local musician, Kate Nicholson.
Meet 12.55pm outside the Ulster Hall, Bedford Street. Tour ends, 4pm at Oh Yeah Music Centre, Gordon Street. Participants should wear shoes suitable for a walk of two miles and come prepared for all weather!
